Good afternoon CLB 7/8,

You will have the entire period to prepare your presentation for Monday, April 27. You will work in pairs and create 10 minute presentations related to a new invention or a new solution to an existing problem.

It's not necessary to create PowerPoint slides; however, you may need show us some visuals of your idea/solution. This should be an idea/ solution that you and your partner create together. This is not a research assignment, so I'm expecting to hear your ideas and words

Please refer to the assignment rubric for what I'll be evaluating. Also, please don't forget what we learned from Amy Cuddy's TED Talk about presentation skills and body language. (http://www.ted.com/talks/amy_cuddy_your_body_language_shapes_who_you_are)

Enjoy!

p.s. Here's a new idea that I've been working on. ;)

Good afternoon CLB 7/8,

This afternoon, I would like to give you some time to practice the things we've been working on together in class.

First, I'd like you do some more practice with fact versus opinion.  Please follow the link to the a Google form where you vote 'fact' or 'opinion' for a series of statements.  After you've all voted, we can look at the results and see if you were correct or not.

Is that a fact?

Once you've submitted your responses, please follow these links for some additional practice with clauses, specifically noun clauses.

Noun Clause Quiz

Finally, we'll look at the results of the Google Form and see how you did with the fact versus opinion quiz.
